Gabriel da Matta
Surdo Prop was established in Cape Town in 2023 by Founder Gabriel da Matta, an admitted attorney and registered property practitioner. Gabriel has 8 years experience in the property industry. After moving down to the Cape from Jhb in 2017 to take up roles for a JSE-listed property developer where he sold over R400m worth of off-plan property in Paardevlei, Somerset West. Gabriel and his family relocated to the Southern Suburbs in 2019 and he spent 3.5 years with a national property agency where he gained majority market share during his 3 year stint. Disillusioned with the value offering within a traditional big brand agency and inspired by his first born, Gabriel founded Surdo Prop.
